Thank you for your interest in Hit n Run, Buffalo’s premiere party band. Hit n Run is a 7- piece band that has won “Top Rock Band” in the Buffalo Music Awards for the past 6 years and most recently in 2006 for “Best Classic Rock Band” as well as Best Group Vocals. We are Channel 4’s reigning winner over the last few years for the “Best-Of Cover Rock Band” and 3-time winner at the People’s Choice Awards for Top Rock Band.
Hit n Run’s lineup consists of:
Mark Valentino – lead vocals, and guitar, winner of Buffalo’s top male vocalist 8 times, between both the Buffalo Music Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.
Kelly Wahl – lead female vocals, nominated numerous times for best female rock vocalist in the Buffalo Music Awards.
Ken Wilczak – lead guitar and vocals, and in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame for best rock guitarist
Bob Wilczak – lead guitar and vocals, winner of the 2006 Buffalo Music Awards best rock guitarist and has also won numerous other top guitarist awards.
Michael Schill – bass and vocals, winner of the 2006 Buffalo Music Awards best rock bassist also nominated numerous times in the past for top bass player.
Bruce Decker – keyboards and vocals, winner of the 2006 Buffalo Music Awards best rock keyboardist with many other top keyboardist awards.
Pat Brayman – percussion, winner of the 2006 Buffalo Music Awards best rock drummer
All members are well respected by their peers.
Hit n Run has opened for many national acts such as: The Kinks, Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons, Honeymoon Suite (4x), Jeff Healy, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, The Rascals, The Tokens, Blue Oyster Cult, Steppenwolf, Firehouse, Asia, and The Little River Band plus many more. We have also received offers to open up for Styx, Kim Mitchell, Eddie Money, and the Grass Roots. By having the opportunity to open for so many groups from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s including performing some newer alternative material, the band proves to be very versatile. We very capably reproduce songs from ACDC to Neil Diamond, Boston, Rush, Franki Valli, Kansas, John Cougar Melancamp, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, Def Leppard, Metallica, Poison, Cheap Trick, Big and Rich, Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, Bryan Adams, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Lynard Skynard, Grand Funk, 3 Doors Down, Dion and the Belmonts, Pat Benatar, Melissa Etheridge, Blondie, Styx, Journey and many more……….
Hit N Run promotes all the functions we play. We send out more than 1,000 emails to loyal Hit N Run followers and more than 300 postcards each month. We have many local radio stations providing both the band and the venues we play with free plugs. They stations are: 97 Rock, WBEN, WYRK, Star 102.5 and more. References can be provided as well. Feel free to contact any club/lawn fete/function manager where we have performed (Macaroon’s, Club Paradise, Desiderio’s, Queen of Heaven lawn fete, St. Barnabas, Queen of Martyrs, St. John’s in Alden) and they will confirm that Hit N Run is the best drawing band for their club or function in the WNY area.
Hit N Run will provide you with a wide variety of material consisting of dance, sing along classic rock, oldies, alternative, country, and disco. We strive to play something for everyone as we play many outdoor, all-ages performances such as the Erie County Fair, Canal concerts, church lawn fetes, the Taste of Buffalo, fire hall parties, Buffalo Bisons pre-game shows, Wingfest, Holiday parties, Burgerfest, Town Park shows in Lancaster, North Tonawanda, Cheektowaga and Williamsville as well as many carnivals.
